Bedroom Cleaning - A Guide
Bedroom Cleaning - A Guide
If you want to make your bedroom look better, you're going to have to do a lot of bedroom cleaning. This can be overwhelming at first if you don't know where to start. The best place to start is with a plan. Here's how to make your bedroom clean and organized so that you can feel more relaxed in your bedroom.
Make your bed a top priority on your nightly and morning routine. Put aside a small portion of your night to just clean the entire bedroom, anything from thirty seconds to an hour, if possible. Then keep the kitchen area clean. At the end of the day ahead of time, throw away the newspapers and put them in a box for the trash.
Give yourself a small, one-step clean everyday. Use a white, off-white or light color washcloth to gently sweep the surfaces of your bed. Then use a gentle, non-abrasive bristled brush and some warm water to remove any dust and debris. You don't want to scrub hard surfaces too hard if you want to prevent scratches and other wear and tear.
When you get ready to go to bed, check your bed every morning and night for dirty spots. Go through all of your bedding and sheets, making a list as you go through them. Write down the sheets that need to be cleaned and the colors that need to be placed in order. Then put together your daily routine for your sheets. For example, if you put your bed sheets in the same order each morning, then you only have to clean the sheets when you need them.
Another important tip for your bedroom is to always vacuum clean your pillowcases and comforters. These are often overlooked but should be given the same consideration as your bed sheets. Dust and dirt from your pillowcases and comforters can easily end up on your bed sheets which will lead to a dirty mattress and foul smelling breaths.
The last thing that we include on our bedroom cleaning checklist is lighting fixtures. Your bedroom's lights make up about 40% of your room, so it's important that you take good care of them. Your light fixtures will also contribute to your sleep patterns, so it's best to keep them clean and as shiny as possible. Some light fixtures are easier to clean than others, so take a little time to learn how to properly handle all of your lighting fixtures.
Once you've accomplished all of these tasks, the last task is to organize everything back where it belongs. It's likely that you'll have some clutter in your bedroom that you'd like to get out. The best way to do this is to make a list of the things that you want to get rid of, and another list of the things that you would like to add to your bedroom. Then, go through each list and throw away anything that you don't need or use. This will free up a lot of space in your room, which you can use to add more furniture or new surfaces.
When you're finally done with your messy bedroom, the one thing that you want to do is to throw away the dryer sheet and replace it with a clean and fresh sheet. By doing this, you'll be making your job a whole lot easier the next day. It's always best to err on the side of caution. After all, who wants to wake up to a dusty bedroom? Keeping your bedroom neat and clean will ensure that you enjoy a nice and easy to sleep nights.
